ANGKOP PROVIDED IMMEDIATE AID BROUGHT TO TYPHOON “FABIAN” VICTIMS IN BARANGAYS IN MARIKINA AND SAN MATEO

As strong rain continues and the river water level rises, ANGKOP rushed to flooded barangays in Marikina and San Mateo, Rizal to bring immediate aid to typhoon “Fabian” victims last July 25.

ANGKOP team braved the storm on July 25, 2021, to provide food packs for families in Barangay Parang, Marikina and Barangay Maly, San Mateo, Rizal. It was our immediate response to one of ANGKOP volunteers, Ms, Shamina Camille Balan (founder of HOPE Movement PH) FB post about their humble farm for their Community FARMtry Project that turned into a “sapa” brought by the typhoon.

Our team went to Marikika first and was welcomed by the residents of Barangay Parang and provided water and food packs before heading to Barangay Mali for the same assistance.

ANGKOP leaders, Doc Joseph de Guzman II and Ka Joms personally visited the place, distributed food packs to the community, and also checked the condition of the farm to establish the assistance that the team can provide to Shamina for the Barangay Mali Community FARMtry Project.

A mission accomplished by the team, both for humanitarian and for animal welfare. While providing food packs, our team noticed a lot of dogs in the community so anti-rabies vaccines were also provided for free to their pets. We also committed to providing the necessary assistance to restore the farm once feasible for the Community FARMtry Project.

On August 3, we visited Barangay Mali to complete our free anti-rabies mission for the fur babies in the community. ANGKOP works in underserved communities and collaborates with different organizations providing veterinary services at no cost to families who can’t otherwise access them. Our goal is to keep pets in their homes safe and healthy by keeping their owners safe and healthy too. We strive to ensure that homes or communities have the resources they need to support pets and their families.
